News > Rees for Congress releases first campaign ad

(West Des Moines) – The Mark Rees for Congress campaign has released their first campaign advertisement of the June 8, 2010 Republican Primary.  Rees is seeking the GOP nomination to take on Iowa’s 3rd District incumbent, Leonard Boswell.

In the 60 second spot, Rees asks voters to, “Listen to what’s being said – and what isn’t.”

“The public is tired of politicians pointing fingers at problems without also offering workable solutions,” Rees said.  “We want to re-engage voters by giving them new ideas and approaches that will foster an honest and open discussion of the issues.”

Rees has also recorded four web videos that detail his positions on job creation, agriculture, education, and energy.  These, and the campaign commercial, can be viewed at www.MarkReesforCongress.com/media.

Rees and his wife, Beth, are both graduates of Valley High School in West Des Moines and Iowa State University. They have lived in the district their entire lives where they have worked, raised their families, and have been actively involved in numerous community groups and service organizations.
