(West Des Moines) – The Rees for Congress Campaign announced today that they have received an endorsement from David J. Fisher in the 3rd District Republican Primary. The announcement concludes a week during which Rees has already received the endorsement of the Des Moines Register and Former Lieutenant Governor Joy Corning.

“I’m giving my endorsement to Mark Rees because he has the best philosophy toward government and how it should be conducted,” said Fisher. “I support his values of returning fiscal responsibility and accountability to Washington.”

Fisher is chairman and president of Onthank Company, a Des Moines based wholesale distributor of floor, window and wall covering products. He led Governor Terry Branstad’s Committee on Government Spending and Reform (also know as the Fisher Commission), a group created to study and recommend long-term strategies for fiscal accountability in government. Fisher is a current board member of the University of Iowa Foundation and has formerly served on the Board of Regents – State of Iowa.
